The project
Out of Service is a live-action choose your own adventure game that was created for Bradley University's 2023 FUSE student showcase. Audiences of up to 200 people decided the fate of Out of Service in a theater that had a 5 by 7 story screen.
It is a Full Motion Video Game (FMV) that 17 college students made. Artists, writers, actors, programmers, producers, videographers, editors, and set/prop designers all worked together across one semester to make the game a reality.
My Contributions
I helped workshop the original outline of Out of Service with the rest of the writers team. Then across several weeks of iteration and feedback from the story lead, I had written five scenes for the original version of the game; however, only three of those five ended up in the final game due to time constraints.
I played Officer Thomson in two scenes, and then on the day of FUSE, I reprised my role and MC'd for the audience.
